The USMNS US Men’s National Team will take on France in a friendly at the Arena de France on June 9, with the clash featuring some of the US’s best talent.
It is a chance for American fans to see the US Men and the rest of the world’s top players, and will be a great chance for Americans to see some of their heroes in action.
“It’s a great opportunity for fans of the United States,” said US Soccer Federation Head of Marketing Michael McGovern.
“We are excited to be able to provide a game of international football to millions of fans in America, and that’s something we’re proud to be a part of.”
It is the first time the US will take to the field against a French team since 2006 when the US defeated England 3-1 in the final in Paris.US MNT stars like Brad Davis, Geoff Cameron and Omar Gonzalez are expected to make an impact against France, but this match could also see US defenders like Geoff Cameron, Geoff Regan, Jozy Altidore, Omar Gonzalez and DeAndre Yedlin.
In all, the US team is expected to feature 14 players from the squad that beat Italy 3-0 in the Confederations Cup earlier this month, with many more players set to be added.
The match will be the first game between the two teams since the US won 2-1 at home in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The US is currently leading Group D with eight points, while France has four.
